Zero Hour Aborted: Iran Halts Planned Strikes on Israel Due to Trump Deal

Three high ranking Iranian sources have confirmed that Tehran aborted a major, prepared missile strike against Israel following a direct, calming intervention from President Donald Trump that exposed deep divisions within the regime's high command.

A dramatic intelligence leak has revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran aborted a heavily prepared ballistic missile assault against Israel at the absolute last minute, following a highly personal intervention by the White House. The strategic retreat occurred on Sunday night after President Donald Trump utilized international intermediaries to deliver a direct, reassuring message to the supreme leadership council in Tehran. The revelation sheds light on an intense internal power struggle that paralyzed the adversarial government during the critical hours preceding the formal finalization of the historic Washington peace treaty.

The high stakes tactical dilemma surfaced after three independent Iranian officials provided detailed confirmations to the New York Times regarding the hidden deliberations within the state security apparatus. According to the leak, a fierce operational debate broke open among the ruling elite concerning how to manage the fallout from a heavy Israeli air raid in Beirut. While military hardliners demanded immediate kinetic launches to preserve national deterrence, political strategists argued that a massive escalation would directly serve the interests of Jerusalem by permanently sabotaging the evolving peace treaty with the United States.

Directly prior to the sudden stabilization, prominent figures within the regime had been orchestrating a synchronized public push toward a major escalation, highlighting how close the region came to total war. The National Security Committee of Iran had issued an ambiguous directive stating that the response against Israel will not necessarily happen tonight or tomorrow, keeping defense analysts in suspense. Concurrently, Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, explicitly escalated the tension by declaring that the zero hour has arrived, confirming that strategic missile launchers were fully prepared for deployment.

The diplomatic branch of the regime had also positioned the country for an unyielding response, arguing that foreign military actions could not be ignored. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Beirut operation, emphasizing its absolute determination to exercise its natural right to self defense. The ministry noted that Iran would take all necessary steps to achieve this, adding that the responsibility for the dangerous consequences of the escalation led by Israel on regional peace and security lies with the United States and Israel.

This aggressive posture was reinforced by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who insisted that Western powers would never succeed in isolating or harming any of the components of the axis of resistance. Ghalibaf asserted that the sacrifices of the loyal Lebanese fighters, alongside the powerful diplomacy of Iran, will ensure the sovereignty of Lebanon and its territorial integrity, concluding that an end will be put to the madness of the Zionist entity and its war mongering. Mohammad Mokhber, another key advisor to the supreme leader, added a highly skeptical note regarding Western intentions, claiming that the division of roles between American promises and Israeli aggression is a recurring and unacceptable thing, and that one cannot trust the American diplomatic smile.

Despite this wave of hostile rhetoric, the sudden direct intervention by Trump broke the internal deadlock in favor of the moderate factions, leading to the immediate freezing of all launch directives. The subsequent public confirmation of the finalized peace treaty by international mediators has now placed a definitive question mark over the long term implementation of the regime's military threats. Defense analysts indicate that by choosing to trust Trump's personal guarantees over the warnings of its own hardliners, the clerical leadership has made a massive strategic gamble that relies entirely on the rapid delivery of the promised economic benefits.
