The Iranian Axis: New Intelligence Reveals the Global Network Re-Arming Hamas

Israeli intelligence has exposed three major smuggling routes being used by Hamas to rebuild its military strength in total defiance of the ceasefire and President Trump’s regional peace plan.

Three months after a ceasefire was established in the Gaza Strip, Israeli security forces have identified a systematic effort by Hamas to restore its military capabilities. Despite the closure of the Rafah Crossing and the Philadelphi Corridor, and the enforcement of a strict maritime blockade, the terrorist organization is finding creative and dangerous ways to re-arm. The IDF is currently monitoring these developments with high intensity, preparing for a potential shift to a new phase of the war if the ceasefire continues to be violated. Intelligence estimates suggest that the group is not only producing weapons locally but is also attempting to exploit humanitarian corridors and new aerial smuggling routes from Egypt.

The first major channel identified by the IDF involves the local production of weaponry within the Gaza Strip. Although operations are being carried out on a significantly smaller scale than before the war, Hamas engineers are successfully manufacturing explosives and simple rockets. They are increasingly relying on the recycling of unexploded Israeli ammunition to create new improvised explosive devices and anti-tank missiles. The second channel involves the manipulation of the roughly 600 humanitarian aid trucks that enter the territory daily. While there is no definitive proof yet that large shipments of weapons are hidden within the food and medicine, the defense establishment is certain that Hamas is coordinating with the Iranian axis to leverage these aid channels for military purposes.

The third and perhaps most concerning channel is the use of drones crossing from the Sinai region. While many of these drones are currently used by criminal elements for drug smuggling, the security establishment warns that this route is being co-opted for weapons transfers into the Al Mawasi area. Just this week, Israeli air control and ground observers identified and neutralized a drone that had crossed into Israeli territory carrying three M-16 rifles and several magazines. This intercept highlights the persistent threat of aerial smuggling that bypasses traditional ground blockades.

In a related operation, the Negev Central Unit and the Tax Authority successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle chemical substances into Gaza that are used for rocket production. The materials were discovered hidden on a truck loaded with seemingly legitimate goods, including solar panels, batteries, and mobile phones. One suspect has been arrested by the Money Laundering Investigation Unit as the contents of the truck undergo further forensic testing. These combined efforts by the IDF and police demonstrate that even under a ceasefire, the war to prevent the re-arming of terrorists remains a primary national security objective.
