Shocking desecration at Hebron cemetery on eve of Memorial Day
Unknown perpetrators throw flags off tombstones of IDF soldiers and conflict victims.

Bereaved families who arrived at the cemetery in Hebron this morning (Monday) discovered that during the night, unknown persons desecrated a number of tombstones at the site. The Israeli flags that were placed on the graves were torn off.
The ancient cemetery in Hebron also houses fallen IDF soldiers, including fighters who fell in battle and terror attacks, as well as victims of hostilities, victims of attacks that took place in Hebron and its environs.
So far, no suspects have been arrested, and the police have opened an investigation.
In September of 2024, Arab terrorists set fire to the ancient synagogue in Samo in Mount Hebron early in the morning and sprayed pro-Hamas graffiti on the place. A preliminary investigation showed that a number of masked men arrived at the scene around 6:45 in the morning and began to burn the ancient synagogue.
Eliram Azoulai, head of the Mount Hebron Council, said in response to the incident: "The serious incident of the burning of the ancient synagogue in Samo tonight by Arab terrorists is a terrorist incident by all means and must be treated as such. This is an attempt to erase the Jewish identity and signs from the regions of our ancestors."
