Is There A Deal?

Houthis: Blockade on Israeli ships to remain, Trump or no

A member of the Houthi political leadership said that President Donald Trump was "lying" about the arrangement reached with the Houthis to stop the bombing campaign.

Dhaifallah al-Shami, a member of the Houthi Political Bureau, responded in an interview with Al-Mayadeen channel to Trump's statements claiming that the Houthis have "capitulated" to the United States and agreed to cease all attacks on shipping in the Red Sea, saying that Israeli ships will not be allowed to pass through until the "aggression" against Gaza ends.

In the interview, he said that "When he makes such declarations, it means he wants to preserve his self-respect in the face of the bitter failure he suffered in Yemen and his aggression against the Yemeni people. He completely failed in his aggression, which forced the Israeli enemy itself after the attack on Ben Gurion Airport to attack directly themselves. The Israeli attacks thwarted the Americans and informed the world that American aggression and American aircraft carriers achieved nothing. Today he lies as he always lies, and says he received calls from here or there, he is not ashamed to lie to get out of the predicament. We say - say what you will, but your position will not influence or change anything - no Israeli ship will reach the ports until the blockade is lifted and the aggression on Gaza is stopped."
