Israel was reportedly not informed of President Trump's planned announcement today (Tuesday) of a halt to the bombing of Houthi forces in Yemen due to their "capitulation" to the United States' demand that they cease attacking ships passing through the Red Sea.

President Trump announced that based on a "very good source," the Houthis have "capitulated" to the United States and agreed to stop attacking American targets or shipping generally through the Red Sea.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the bombing campaign was "always" about freedom of navigation and shipping, and that the US could stop the bombing campaign if the Houthis stopped their attacks.
