Static war, rising anger
Senior officers are furious: "We must decide – either destroy Gaza, or get out"
Prime Minister Netanyahu's indecisiveness in the war is causing anger among officers currently stationed in Gaza: "The blood of our soldiers is not in vain."

Senior officers currently fighting in the Gaza Strip expressed great anger at the conduct of the political echelon, due to what can be called the "shuffle" of the war. "Every time we reach this point anew – we have to decide, either destroy Gaza or get out. The blood of our soldiers is not worthless," they say.
Operation Strength and Sword was launched at the end of the cease-fire with a broad and aggressive blow by our forces, but since then the fighting has moved to a static state, and in the meantime we are counting more and more fallen and wounded in the Gaza Strip, without any of them knowing or understanding where we are headed.
And contrary to what one might think, there is no maneuver in Gaza. In Gaza, there is a serious security failure. Our forces are on guard duty and are in an almost completely static position, all in order to "pressure Hamas to come to a deal." Therefore, it cannot be said that the writing was not on the wall.
The pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu to reach a decision one way or the other is intensifying, especially against the background of the implementation of his policy, at least at the military level – there is no longer Herzi Halevi, who may have used weak methods that did not lead us to a crushing decision. Now there is a new chief of staff, defined by Netanyahu himself as offensive.
It should be noted that the method of warfare currently being used in the Gaza Strip is Netanyahu's: bringing in small forces to pressure Hamas to reach another deal. This method has completely failed – and it costs us human lives.
