The IDF has struck a major blow to Hamas in Khan Younis, destroying over 130 terror sites and a deep underground tunnel, as Golani forces intensify operations in Gaza.
Combat teams from the IDF’s Golani Brigade, operating under the command of the 36th Division, are continuing their activity in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza.
As part of the operation, forces, together with Yahalom combat engineers, located and destroyed an underground route in the Khan Younis area measuring approximately 500 meters in length and 13 meters deep.
Over the past week, IDF forces have eliminated dozens of terrorists and destroyed more than 130 terror-related sites both above and below ground, including weapons caches, booby-trapped buildings, observation posts, and launch sites aimed at Israeli forces.
The IDF continues to act against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to protect the security of Israeli civilians, particularly residents of the Gaza envelope communities.
