Google Layoffs Expanding to Europe and the Middle East
Technology giant Google has already been laying off many workers in the United States, in part to buttress its growing AI division. Now the downsizing is spreading to the Eastern Hemisphere, including Israel.
Globes reports that Google's Middle East and European division, which includes Israel, has published the departments set to witness layoffs and efficiency measures: search, information security, engineering, and marketing and advertising.
This wave of dismissals, which has not yet officially come to Google Israel, joins with a number of other waves of downsizing in the Israeli branches of major and even global hi-tech firms, including One Zero, Sisense, and Orca Security, according to lastartup.co.il.
