Hamas appears to be increasingly relying on or working with other terrorist groups to attack IDF forces, as non-Hamas groups take an increasing amount of credit for such attacks, according to Jerusalem Post reporter Seth Frantzman.

An increasing number of attacks on IDF troops in Arabic media credit groups other than Hamas with the attacks. This suggests a diminished Hamas role in the fighting now, whether due to heavy losses, Hamas' efforts to conserve what's left of its forces, or the fact that the IDF has overwhelmingly focused on destroying Hamas capabilities.

Frantzman says that this development has possible ramifications for the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria, as the weakening of Hamas will lead these smaller groups to carve out power spheres for themselves and even grow at Hamas' expense.
