Avigdor Liberman issued a scathing statement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, holding him responsible for the October 7 massacre and pledging his party will refuse to join any government he leads.
"I call on everyone to say it clearly: Netanyahu bears responsibility for the October 7 massacre, and he must go home," Liberman wrote on his X account. He followed with an unambiguous commitment regarding any future cooperation with Netanyahu: "Hell will freeze over before we sit with him."
The declaration comes as Yisrael Beiteinu clarified the party's commitment to forming a government without Netanyahu, without the Arab parties, and without the haredi parties. The party also outlined the steps it believes the next government must take immediately upon formation.
"Yisrael Beiteinu is committed to establishing a Zionist government, without Netanyahu, the Arab parties, and the haredim, that will pass a draft law for everyone without quotas, without targets, and without exemptions for anyone, and will establish a state commission of inquiry according to law as the first decision of the next government," the party stated.
Yisrael Beiteinu reiterated its demand for a universal draft law with no quotas, targets, or exemptions. Alongside this, the party positioned the establishment of a state commission of inquiry as one of the first decisions the government it seeks to form would make.
