Six days before polls open, the Shin Bet announced Thursday morning that a joint operation with the State Attorney's Cyber Unit and the Central Elections Committee has identified a number of social media profiles being used for foreign influence operations ahead of Israel's election.

According to the statement, the accounts were removed from the platforms as part of a coordinated effort to safeguard the integrity of the election and thwart illegitimate foreign interference attempts.

The Shin Bet said it will continue working with all relevant bodies to block foreign influence operations and protect the democratic process and the integrity of the vote.
