Mujahideen calls for international sanctions against Israel

Terrorists Thank Yair Golan: "He’s Our Proof Israel Commits War Crimes"

A recent wave of outrage has erupted after Israeli politician Yair Golan made inflammatory accusations against the IDF, drawing praise from Palestinian terrorist organizations. His remarks, seen by many as fuelling anti-Israel sentiment, have now been embraced as propaganda by extremist groups in Gaza.

In a deeply controversial and widely condemned statement, Yair Golan, chairman of The Democrats and a former IDF general, has triggered national outrage and international reverberations after accusing Israel of committing war crimes. During an interview on Tuesday, Golan made shocking claims, including that Israeli soldiers were “killing babies as a hobby,” a remark that many Israelis have called slanderous, dangerous, and completely disconnected from reality.

These inflammatory comments were swiftly seized upon by enemies of Israel. The Palestinian Mujahideen organization, a terror group operating in Gaza and responsible for the abduction of the Bibas family, openly praised Golan’s remarks. Calling them “proof” of Israel’s “barbaric crimes,” the group cited his statements as a basis for their calls for international sanctions against Israel. They even used Golan's words to further justify their armed struggle and delegitimize Israel on the global stage.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned Golan’s statements, calling them “wild incitement” against the Israel Defense Forces, which he described as “the most moral army in the world.” Netanyahu also recalled Golan’s history of controversial rhetoric, including his past comparisons of Israeli policy to that of Nazi Germany and his encouragement of military draft evasion. Other Israeli officials echoed Netanyahu’s outrage, describing Golan’s remarks as disgraceful and harmful, especially during an ongoing conflict when national unity is crucial.

The backlash was swift and severe. The World Jewish Congress, set to host Golan at its Plenary Assembly in Jerusalem, abruptly cancelled his participation, citing his divisive and damaging remarks. His political standing has taken a major hit, with many Israelis viewing his comments as a betrayal not just of the IDF but of the country as a whole.

Golan’s remarks have not only alienated much of the Israeli public but have been weaponized by those who seek to undermine the state of Israel. His willingness to adopt language that mirrors terrorist propaganda has led many to question his judgment, integrity, and continued relevance in Israeli politics.
