War policy escalation

Ben Shapiro Urges Trump to Attack Kharg Island | WATCH

Conservative commentator calls for escalated Iran campaign despite risks of global economic disruption.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro urged President Trump to authorize military strikes against Iran's Kharg Island, characterizing the move as a strategic opportunity to achieve swift victory despite potential casualties.

"No one in America wants American casualties," Shapiro said. "But we do understand that war does come along with casualties, and we're willing to undergo those casualties in pursuit of an end and for a victory."

Shapiro described targeting Kharg Island, Iran's critical oil export terminal, as "the easiest move for the United States to make right now," framing the destruction of Kharg and South Pars facilities as a "cheat code to instant victory."

Iran has signaled a direct response to any such strike. Iranian officials have stated that an attack on Kharg would trigger retaliation against "all oil and gas infrastructure in the region in which the U.S. and its allies have interests," with potential to plunge the world into global economic depression.

The proposal marks the latest hawkish commentary shaping Trump's Iran policy during ongoing military escalation, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining contested and regional oil markets volatile.
