US President Donald Trump published a message on his social media platform, announcing that after "taking control" of Washington D.C., he is setting his sights on more American cities.
About a month ago, President Trump announced the nationalization of Washington's National Guard and its subordination to federal enforcement. Military forces were deployed in the city and reinforced the local police, National Guard forces patrolled neighborhoods and cities, and crime in the area dropped dramatically.
Now President Trump is targeting another central city, Chicago. Chicago is considered one of the most well-known and central cities in the US. But it is also plagued by crime at extremely high levels. With high murder rates, robbery and theft as routine matters, and Democratic rule that decriminalizes many offenses, the city has been in serious decline for years. Hopefully, that's about to change.
