Royals Tour White House Beehive in Sweet Moment | WATCH

While the U.S. and Britain are tackling serious global issues during this state visit, the beehive tour offered a perfect blend of sustainability, tradition, and good old-fashioned diplomacy, proving even world leaders can stop for a moment to appreciate the humble honeybee.

In one of the most delightfully wholesome moments of the ongoing state visit, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the South Lawn yesterday for a private tour of the newly expanded and upgraded White House Beehive.

The royal couple, fresh off their arrival, joined the Trumps for tea in the Green Room before heading outside to inspect the hives. The centerpiece: a charming new beehive designed to look like a miniature version of the White House itself.

Melania Trump recently oversaw the expansion, adding two more colonies for a total of four. The upgraded apiary is now home to roughly 70,000 bees and is expected to produce more than 225 pounds of honey per year — much of which will be used in White House kitchens and presented as official gifts.

King Charles, a longtime environmentalist and dedicated beekeeper who maintains hives at Buckingham Palace and Highgrove, appeared visibly delighted as he examined the setup alongside the First Lady.

The light-hearted outing provided a rare moment of cross-Atlantic charm amid otherwise heavy diplomatic discussions. The White House described it simply as “A royal buzz. ”
