The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) have confirmed the elimination of Palestinian terrorist Bakr al-Majaydah, a Hamas operative who took an active part in the October 7, 2023, cross-border massacre into southern Israel.

al-Majaydah's neutralization is the latest confirmed success in Israel's sustained and highly specialized campaign to locate and hold accountable every individual involved in the deadly incursion.

Direct Involvement in Infiltration

According to a joint statement released by the Israeli security establishment, Bakr al-Majaydah was eliminated on July 13 following a targeted operation. The IDF and ISA have now specifically linked him to the initial infiltration on October 7, stating he was responsible for breaching the Gaza-Israel border fence with a tractor and entering Israeli territory.

This method of entry was instrumental in allowing subsequent waves of terrorists to stream into Israeli communities and military bases, resulting in the murder of approximately 1,200 people and the abduction of hundreds more.

Part of Long-Term Accountability Mission

al-Majaydah is one of several identified Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who participated in the October 7 attack and have since been tracked down and eliminated.

His death underscores the ongoing mission, spearheaded by a dedicated ISA task force known as "Hamal Nili," established specifically to map, locate, and neutralize the perpetrators of the massacre. The campaign has been compared by security analysts to the historical "Wrath of God" operation launched by Israel following the 1972 Munich massacre.

The security establishment has repeatedly affirmed its commitment to this mission, stating it will continue operating until every terrorist involved in the brutal attack on Israeli civilians and soldiers is neutralized.

The focus on eliminating participants like al-Majaydah is a core component of Israel’s effort to dismantle Hamas’s terror network and ensure justice for the victims and their families.
