L.E. Doug Staiman, the Jewish pop-punk provocateur turned filmmaker and satirist, is back with a new video. Known for his biting humor and unapologetic takes, Staiman’s latest creation zeros in on Yuval Abraham—one of the co-directors of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land—while taking aim at antisemitism and Jew-hatred. The result is a sharp, laugh-out-loud satire that’s as bold as it is timely.

Staiman, who first made waves as the frontman of The Groggers, has a knack for tackling heavy topics with a smirk. His new video, dropped a day after Abraham and his team snagged the Best Documentary Feature Oscar on March 2, 2025, for No Other Land, reimagines the filmmaker’s narrative through a punk-rock lens. The documentary, a joint effort by Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers, explores Palestinian resistance in Judea and Samaria—a subject Staiman turns into comedic fodder with his signature flair.

Staiman’s real target isn’t just Abraham—it’s the broader currents of antisemitism and Jew-hatred he’s long lampooned.

“I’m not here to cancel anyone,” Staiman said in a recent interview. “But if you’re preaching peace while the hate piles up, maybe it’s time to check your tune. Justice shouldn’t sound like a dog whistle.” The video’s timing, hot on the heels of Abraham’s Oscar win—where the Israeli filmmaker’s acceptance speech underscored solidarity with Palestinians—adds fuel to Staiman’s fire.

Some pearls of wisdom from the video: "The Palestinian people have called for peace time and time again, with their peaceful calls for Jihad and inclusive chants to globalize. There is no other land for them aside from the 22 other surrounding countries. The Jews can go anywhere, they can go back to Poland, or the Bahamas or Fort Lauderdale area and other places. Palestinian People deserve to live in land that is free of Jews or a two state solution where we partition it by the week."

Fans of Staiman’s eclectic career, from his Groggers hits to his 2022 directorial debut Love Virtually, will recognize his talent for blending absurdity with critique.

Staiman’s latest proves he’s still a master of mockery, turning Oscar glory and societal tensions into a joke. L.E. Staiman isn’t dialing down the volume anytime soon, and we are so glad.
