IDF soldiers eliminate Hezbollah terrorists in Southern lebanon

Israeli Paratroopers neutralized a three-man terrorist cell in southern Lebanon during a fierce overnight encounter. While the cell was destroyed, ten Israeli soldiers were wounded in the exchange, including three who are in serious condition.

The Encounter at Close Range

During operational activity by the Paratroopers Brigade’s Combat Team in the Bint Jbeil sector, Israeli forces encountered a cell of three armed terrorists. The terrorists opened fire at short range, triggering an intense face-to-face firefight.

  • Israeli troops returned fire while coordinating with tank units and air support.
  • Two terrorists were killed on the spot during the initial exchange. Following the firefight, IDF forces targeted and destroyed the structure that the cell had been using as a base of operations.
  • A third terrorist attempted to flee the scene under the cover of gunfire. He was quickly identified by forces on the ground and eliminated via an airstrike, completing the destruction of the cell.

Casualties and Evacuation

Ten soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade were wounded during the heavy engagement:

  • 3 soldiers are in serious condition.
  • 1 soldier is in moderate condition.
  • 6 soldiers sustained light injuries.

All wounded personnel were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
