After a month of intensive training and disciplinary reviews, the 941st Reserve Battalion has resumed operational activities in Judea and Samaria.
The 941st Reserve Battalion, composed primarily of veterans from the ultra-Orthodox Netzah Yehuda Battalion, returned to full operational duty this week.
Their return was marked by a successful operation in the Qalandia refugee camp, where troops carried out arrests and searched for illegal weapons. The battalion’s deployment comes after a month-long suspension ordered by high-ranking IDF officials.
During the hiatus, the soldiers underwent specialized training and educational workshops focused on operational discipline and professional conduct.
Military officials emphasized that the return to the field was contingent upon the battalion meeting specific professional standards and completing a rigorous review process.
The suspension was originally triggered by a high-profile incident near Tayasir involving a CNN news crew. During the encounter, several soldiers were involved in a physical and verbal confrontation with the international journalists. Following an IDF investigation into the event, the Chief of Staff moved to temporarily remove the entire battalion from active duty to address the disciplinary failures.
