Prime Minister's spokesperson: "It's impossible to return all hostages at once"
The article covers a controversial statement by the Israeli Prime Minister's spokesperson claiming it's impossible to return all Hamas hostages at once, which sparked criticism from opposition leader Yair Lapid who accused the government of abandoning rescue efforts.

The Prime Minister's spokesperson, Omer Dostri, said this evening (Saturday) in an interview with Channel 12 that "it's impossible to return all of them at once. That's spin. There isn't anyone who doesn't want to return our hostages, we're doing everything to return the hostages and once we return all of them, we'll destroy Hamas. It's impossible to make a deal for all of them. Hamas is demanding a cessation of fighting."
Additionally, he did not deny the dramatic report in the New York Times, according to which United States President Donald Trump blocked an attack on nuclear sites in Iran. "The Prime Minister has said several times and he is still committed to it that Israel will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons."
He also claimed that Feldstein did not work simultaneously for the Prime Minister's Office and for Qatar, and if he briefed - it was "on his own accord."
Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded to the statements, saying: "The statements made tonight by the Prime Minister's spokesperson are an admission that the Israeli government has given up on trying to return the hostages. Netanyahu needs to clarify if his spokesperson is speaking from his own thoughts or officially.
If this is the official position of the Prime Minister, he should stand up and say these things himself, and if not, he should apologize on behalf of his spokesperson. Tonight our hearts are with the families for whom every such statement shakes their world. And with Elkana's family, whose sign of life emphasizes more than anything that a hostage deal is needed immediately."
