"Israel strikes leaders, Hezbollah strikes... chickens?"

Arab media mocks Hezbollah's meek retaliation to high-profile assassination.

In Arab countries, Hezbollah is mocked following the limited response to the assassination of the organization's chief of staff, Fouad Shukar, by Israel: "While Israel killed senior officials and destroyed nuclear reactors, Hezbollah responded with an attack on a chicken coop in the north of the country."

Amjad Taha, the most popular Emirati commentator in the media and social networks in the Persian Gulf region who is close to the top of the government in Bahrain, was interviewed on an Arab channel and said that: "Hezbollah is nothing more than a paper tiger, or actually used toilet paper."

"The husband of Nancy Ajram (the famous Lebanese singer) killed a burglar who entered their home with 15 bullets," said the famous commentator, "and what about Israel? It destroyed nuclear reactors, killed scientists and leaders in the Revolutionary Guards and sent Ismail Haniyeh and one of Hezbollah's senior commanders, along with 500 others, to hell and Hezbollah responded by killing seven chickens in Israel."
