US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will visit Israel on Thursday this week, in order to discuss the ceasefire in Lebanon, recent events in Syria, and hostage negotiations in Gaza with the Prime Minister and Defense Minister, according to Ynet.

Sullivan is expected to speak not just with Netanyahu and Katz but also National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer on various issues.

The security cabinet is set to meet on the same day as Sullivan's visit to discuss many of these same issues and decide on Israel's policy towards them.
