The IDF has completed an exercise to increase readiness along the eastern border, including the Jordan Valley and adjacent valleys.
Forces of the Jordan Valley and Valleys Brigade together with Border Guard forces and special forces worked together to improve their readiness in the face of different sorts of threats including terrorist attacks and infiltration.

Last month, Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the establishment of an "eastern barrier" to prevent infiltration and weapons smuggling along the border.
Iran has reportedly been working hard to smuggle weapons and terrorists across this border, especially to pro-Iranian forces in Judea and Samaria, with the aim of creating yet another front for Israel.
