IDF forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon have completed a complex operation to destroy underground infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization. According to an IDF statement, the forces located and demolished underground routes stretching hundreds of meters, which served as staging points for planned terror attacks against northern Israeli communities.
The operation was carried out by the combat team of Brigade 7, under the command of Division 36, in close coordination with fighters from the Yahalom engineering unit. The forces worked methodically across the area to remove every direct threat to the State of Israel. As part of this effort, the soldiers located the deep underground routes, thoroughly investigated them, and then detonated and completely destroyed them.
