The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Moussa Abd Mohammed Hamouda, a Nukhba terrorist in Hamas's military wing, in a strike in Gaza City on Sunday. Hamouda took part in planning the roadside bomb attack that killed four tank crew soldiers from the 52nd Battalion on September 8, 2025.
The attack killed Lieutenant Matan Abramovitz, Sergeant Amit Arye Regev, Staff Sergeant Uri Lamed, and Sergeant Gadi Cotal.
The elimination represents a significant closing of the circle for Division 162. The soldiers fell under the division's command during Gideon's Chariots, and now the 215th Fire Brigade, subordinate to the division, has eliminated the terrorist responsible for their deaths.
The IDF spokesperson noted that throughout the war, the terrorist operated systematically against IDF forces in the Gaza Strip and was involved in terror activity against Israeli troops.
In recent weeks, he advanced terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the organization's military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. He was eliminated from the air to remove the threat.
