In a post that has sent shockwaves through the continent, Hassan appeared to celebrate Hamas’s brutal purge of alleged collaborators in Gaza, suggesting they be hunted down “one by one,” a declaration that has ignited a firestorm of condemnation and calls for her ouster.

The scandal erupted late yesterday (Tuesday), when Hassan, a firebrand lawyer for La France Insoumise (LFI), reposted a Mondoweiss article on her Instagram Story detailing Hamas’s post-ceasefire rampage.

The piece chronicled the group’s execution of suspected collaborators, with grisly videos circulating online showing public shootings of men from rival clans accused of aiding Israel during the two-year war. Her caption, “One by one,” vanished after 24 hours, but not before screenshots spread like wildfire, sparking outrage across political and social spheres.

French politicians unleashed a torrent of fury:

Marion Maréchal, Identité-Libertés MEP, branded Hassan’s words “chilling incitement to murder,” accusing her of reveling in execution videos and daring her to “join the Hamas she loves so much.”

Gilles-William Goldnadel, a prominent lawyer, labeled her “Rima Rien,” decrying her apparent joy in “assassinations committed by Hamas.”

Jean Quatremer of Libération declared the masks off, calling her “Rima Hamas” and pointing to an “Islamization” of the Palestinian cause.

Amine El-Khatmi, ex-Printemps Républicain head, raged at the “madness,” questioning why she faces no legal reckoning for her “provocations.”

On X, the outrage crescendoed:

Journalist Emma-Kate Symons branded her a “bloodthirsty” flotilla veteran.

Ariel Oseran of i24NEWS accused her of cheering Hamas’s slaughter of dissenters.

Eyal Yakoby noted even the Palestinian Authority’s condemnation of these “extrajudicial murders,” exposing her as a Hamas apologist.

Michael Elgort decried her human rights committee role amid support for “arbitrary mass executions.”

The timing is explosive: Hamas’s purge, claiming dozens to hundreds of lives since the October 9 ceasefire, aims to reassert dominance over Gaza’s fractured clans. Hassan’s silence since deleting the post, despite repeated requests for comment, only fuels the inferno, with demands for her expulsion or prosecution under France’s apologie du terrorisme laws gaining traction.
