Just days after President Trump warned Iran against any activity at Pickaxe Mountain, following intelligence reports of initial Iranian operations at and around the mountain, the United Nations atomic monitoring agency has now confirmed it is detecting suspicious activity at the location.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog, issued an alert indicating it has identified suspicious Iranian activity at Pickaxe Mountain over recent days. According to agency officials, the purpose and scope of the activity cannot yet be determined, but the very fact that the IAEA is reporting it raises concerns that Iran may be working to utilize nuclear infrastructure at the site.
Another possibility is that the Iranians have managed to recover remnants of enriched nuclear material from the depths of the bombed nuclear facilities, and are now attempting to bury it deep underground, beyond American reach.
President Trump has warned previously, and again in recent weeks, that any activity at the location could trigger a massive American strike.
