Iran Claims It's Holding US Hostages

Ali Larijani breaks silence following massive Israeli strikes, threatening regional neighbors and alleging a Pentagon cover-up over "captured" American commandos.

In a series of fiery posts on X, Ali Larijani, the Secretary General of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and a key figure in the regime’s remaining leadership, issued a direct threat to U.S. President Donald Trump and claimed that American soldiers have been taken prisoner by Iranian forces. Larijani’s statements come just hours after the Israeli Air Force (IAF) decimated 30 strategic oil facilities in Tehran, leaving the capital’s skyline dominated by massive pillars of fire.

Larijani’s first message sent shockwaves through the international community by appearing to confirm the status of Iran’s top leadership.

"We will avenge the blood of our Supreme Leader," Larijani wrote.

"Trump must pay the price. And he will pay it."

Turning his focus to the region, Larijani issued a stark warning to neighboring countries that host U.S. military assets.

"The enemy attacks us from bases in the region, we will continue to strike them. This is our right," he declared.

"The countries of the region must prevent the U.S. from operating from their territory, otherwise, we will do it for them."

Perhaps most explosive was Larijani’s claim regarding U.S. ground forces. While the White House and the Pentagon have maintained that American involvement is limited to strategic strikes, Larijani alleges a clandestine ground war is already resulting in American captives.

"Five or six American soldiers have fallen into our hands as prisoners," Larijani claimed. "The Americans claim they were killed in battle, but as time passes, they will report these deaths gradually as various 'accidents.' We have them."

This claim directly follows reports that Washington and Jerusalem have been discussing special operations raids to secure Iran's enriched uranium.
