NYC Mayor Mamdani’s Wife Liked Posts Celebrating October 7 Massacre
Investigation reveals Rama Dawajee, wife of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, "liked" social media posts celebrating the Hamas massacre and depicting the breach of Israel's border as "breaking apartheid."

Rama Dawajee, the wife of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, is facing intense scrutiny after a report revealed she "liked" several Instagram posts praising the Hamas-led October 7 massacre.
The investigation, first published by Jewish Insider, found that Dawajee, a Syrian-American artist, interacted positively with content that depicted the brutal terror attack as a legitimate act of "resistance."
Celebrating the "Black Morning"
According to the report, Dawajee’s personal Instagram account showed engagement with posts from the day of the attack, which resulted in the murder of 1,200 people and the abduction of 251 more into the Gaza Strip.
One notable post from the account 'The Slow Factory' featured images of Hamas terrorists using a bulldozer to breach the security fence between Gaza and Israel.
The post included captions such as:
The report further revealed that Dawajee liked posts supporting the infamous Times Square rally held on October 8, 2023, just one day after the massacre.
The rally featured slogans like "From the river to the sea" and "Resistance to occupation is a human struggle."
Videos from the event, which Dawajee reportedly engaged with, featured crowds chanting that "every occupied people has the right to self-defense," a phrase frequently used to justify the atrocities committed against Israeli civilians.
A Divide in the Mayor’s Household?
The social media activity stands in stark contrast to the public positions held by Mayor Mamdani. Throughout his political career and recent tenure, Mamdani has officially described the October 7 attack as a "war crime" and Hamas as a "terrorist organization."
However, the Mayor has remained a fierce critic of Israel. Just recently, he characterized the ongoing military operations against Iran as a "catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression."
Official Response
When reached for comment by Jewish Insider, the Mayor’s office issued a standard defense of Mamdani’s record:
"Mayor Mamdani has been clear and consistent: Hamas is a terrorist organization, October 7 was a horrific war crime, and he has condemned this violence unequivocally."
Dawajee herself did not respond to requests for comment, and the Mayor’s office declined to clarify whether the couple had discussed her social media activity or if she shares his official views.
