The bus overturn at the Eshta'ol junction – the accident victims are participants in the Ariel movement's branch in Ramat Beit Shemesh.

A bus that was transporting the participants overturned for an unclear reason on its side at the Eshta'ol interchange and slid into a wadi by the side of the road. As a result of the accident, 29 injured individuals were treated on-site by medical personnel, including one child in serious condition, 2 individuals with moderate injuries, and 26 others with minor injuries.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Oshri Edri and MDA EMTs Yishai Glik and Shmuel Pashkus said, "We arrived quickly at the scene and saw the bus overturned on its side in a wadi near the road.

"From the bus, all the passengers exited, most on their own, and some were assisted. The driver and children aged 8 to 12, all of them were fully conscious. We conducted an initial triage of the bus passengers, and two of the children suffered severe injuries. One of them had a severe multi-system injury, and the other had an abdominal injury. We provided life-saving treatment to them and quickly evacuated them to the hospital as their condition was serious. In the trauma room, one of them was intubated and resuscitated. Another injured person was in moderate condition, and about 30 others had minor injuries."

From initial investigations, the police report that a bus arriving from the direction of Nes Harim on Highway 395 towards the intersection veered to the right at a certain point along the road and overturned for a reason that has yet to be determined. Numerous police and Border Police forces quickly arrived at the scene and began efforts to secure the accident area and provide initial assistance.

At this time, Kikar Kaslon (Kaslon Square) is still closed to traffic in the direction from Highway 38 to Highway 44. The public is requested to follow the police instructions at the roadblocks and choose alternative routes.
