Disgraceful

"My kid told me to" - The tragicomedy that is Cynthia Nixon

Here's a little piece of advice for you, Cynthia: Just because your child tells you to do something, doesn't mean you need to do it. Or are you too dense to understand?

Cynthia Nixon, the Sex and the City star and activist explained her pro Palestinian advocacy to antisemite Mehdi Hassan.

Ironically, first she goes on to say that what Hamas did on October 7th was awful, but then she says that her eldest child, who is Jewish and transgender, urged her to publicly support Palestine, because she has a "big megaphone".

Nixon may claim she doesn't agree with what Hamas did on October 7th, but we all know that actions speak louder than words. She has been a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights, has participated in high-profile actions, including a 2023 hunger strike calling for a Gaza ceasefire.

Here's what she said on X just after Hamas raped, murdered and burned Jews alive. They raped men and women, they mutilated children in front of their parents. There was nothing they didn't do when it came to the full specter of their sheer evil.

And if that wasn't bad enough, recently, she wore a shirt resembling the Palestinian flag in a "And Just Like That" trailer.

Although her representatives clarified the shirt was not a deliberate political statement, her interview with Mehdi Hassan provides important context. She might say she didn't mean it, but clearly she did. There is absolutely zero chance her shirt was just an innocent wardrobe choice, and expecting the public to believe that insults our intelligence.

Also, given that her child is transgender, her support for Hamas is even more bizarre, considering Hamas’s restrictions on LGBTQ+ rights in Gaza.

Obviously, expecting her to see the truth about the Israel Gaza conflict is too much to expect.

It would be a blessing to all of us if she focused on It's All That and left the politics alone.
