Poll shows 50 seats for Netanyahu, 53 for left, 17 Arab

Golan: Public fired Netanyahu government

Democrats leader responds to dramatic poll showing neither bloc can form a government: We're ready to work with all our partners to bridge the gaps

Eisenkot and Netanyahu

Democrats party leader Yair Golan responded Tuesday night to poll results showing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cannot form the next government, but the change bloc also falls short of a majority.

"The public has spoken. It has fired Netanyahu's government," Golan wrote. "We have received a historic opportunity to form a real change government in Israel, and we do not intend to give it up. We represent here a tremendous public that fought in the streets for four years, that mobilized for the party and went out to the field to persuade. We are going to do everything to ensure such a government is established."

"We are ready to work with all our partners, to bridge the gaps and to take responsibility. The public has spoken. Now it is our turn to do the work."

A Kan News poll conducted by pollster Dudi Hasid shows the following election results:

Otzma Yehudit — 7

Shas — 6

United Torah Judaism — 6

Religious Zionism — 6

Likud — 25

Yashar! — 21

Yachad — 14

Joint List — 10

Democrats — 10

Yisrael Beiteinu — 8

Ra'am — 7

Failing to cross the threshold: HaMiluimnikim (2.7%), Amcha Yisrael (2.2%)

By blocs: the Netanyahu bloc holds 50 seats, while the left-wing bloc has 53 seats and the Arab parties 17.
