Crime in the Arab Sector: a 38-Year-Old Man was Shot Dead in Nazareth

The police opened an investigation following a shooting in Nazareth at a vehicle in which a 38-year-old man was murdered. In the association "Abraham Initiatives" they update that since the beginning of 2023 - 225 Arabs have lost their lives to crime and violence.

A 38-year-old man, a resident of the city of Nazareth, was fatally wounded this morning (Sunday) by a shot towards the vehicle he was in. Paramedics who were called to the scene began treating him and later pronounced him dead.

Police officers were rushed to the scene, began searching for the suspects in the shooting and began investigating the circumstances of the case. The police said that the background to the incident was a conflict between criminals.

Following the murder, the "Abraham Initiatives" association said that 225 Arabs lost their lives in 2023 in circumstances related to violence and crime, of which 215 were citizens, 10 were non-citizens. In the corresponding period last year, there were 106 victims.

According to the data, 201 of the victims were shot to death. 102 of the victims were under 30 years old. 16 were women. 2 were injured in 2022 and died this year. 6 were shot by policemen. The data does not include 5 Palestinian victims living in the West Bank who lost their lives in circumstances of violence and crime in Israeli territories.
