A 66-year-old man was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack early Tuesday morning in Afula, a city in northern Israel. The victim was on his way to synagogue for Selichot and Shacharit when he was assaulted. He sustained multiple stab wounds across his body and was evacuated to HaEmek Medical Center in serious condition.
Israeli police dispatched large forces from the Northern District to the scene immediately after receiving the report. Forensic investigators combed the area and collected evidence in an effort to identify the attacker.
