Disney just proved that sometimes, if you scream at the internet long enough, they actually listen! In a move that has fans literally braiding their hair in excitement, comedic queen Kathryn Hahn has confirmed she is stepping into the legendary, manipulative, and fabulous shoes of Mother Gothel.

For years, the internet has insisted that the WandaVision star was the only person alive capable of capturing Gothel’s "gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss" energy. After rumors that Scarlett Johansson was in the running but had to pass due to a packed schedule, Disney circled back to the fan favorite.

The "Mother" Hints Were Everywhere:

Hahn basically manifested this role herself. Not only is her Instagram handle literally @motherhahn, but she soft-launched the news in a hilarious "OOTD" (Outfit of the Day) video. After admitting she just learned what the acronym meant, she showed off a shirt plastered with Mother Gothel’s face. Subtlety? We don't know her!

The Full Tower Crew:

* The Heroine: Australian star Teagan Croft is officially our Rapunzel.

* The Smolder: Zombies heartthrob Milo Manheim is taking on the role of the charmingly rogue Flynn Rider.

The Internet Wins This Round:

Unlike recent Disney live-action castings that sparked "discourse" (looking at you, The Little Mermaid and Snow White), the Tangled lineup is getting a massive standing ovation. By picking actors who perfectly mirror the animated originals in both looks and personality, Disney has managed to turn a remake into a must-see event.

It looks like the tower is finally open for business, and with Kathryn Hahn at the helm, we’re all ready to be told that "Mother knows best."
