Idan Amedi and Omer Adam Team Up for Surprise Duet

Two unexpected musical collaborations set to take the stage at next month's NEXT concert series were revealed Tuesday. Idan Amedi and Omer Adam will join forces for a special duet, while Rita and Osher Cohen will perform together in another pairing created exclusively for the major production.

The first collaboration brings together Amedi and Adam for a performance featuring "Pain of Warriors," "Good Guys," and "It's Over", uniting two of Israel's most prominent and beloved artists. According to the production team, this will be a unique partnership developed specifically for NEXT.

The second pairing will feature Rita and Osher Cohen performing "Waiting" and "Where Are You" together. The announcement describes it as a connection between two surprising and moving voices from different musical generations, also created especially for the show.

NEXT 2026 announced its lineup in early August, featuring Osher Cohen, Odelia, Ben Tzur, Omer Adam, Idan Amedi, and Rita. Last year's NEXT concert series sold nearly a quarter million tickets, making it the most successful music event in Israeli history.

The show will incorporate hits from the participating artists, timeless classics, and special arrangements created specifically for the production. NEXT offers a live concert experience that brings together a selection of top-tier artists each year, accompanied by a full band on a 360-degree stage and professional dance troupe.

Additional musical collaborations and surprises are expected to be revealed at the shows, which will take place in October at Ramat Gan Stadium and during Hanukkah at Pais Arena Jerusalem. The duets announced Tuesday represent just part of the musical production for the successful series, which launches October 8.

Amedi recently announced a new acoustic show called "Close," scheduled for September at the Expo Theater in Tel Aviv. The new production presents Amedi in his purest form, without massive productions or masks, just him, the words, the guitar, and the piano.

Adam, meanwhile, continues to lead Israeli music. According to recently published data from Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), he was chosen as the most requested artist in soldiers' requests this year.
