France has reportedly deferred its planned June conference for recognizing a Palestinian state due to Operation Rising Lion, aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear program.

The conference, meant to include the Palestinian Authority and multiple European and Middle Eastern countries, and done under the latter, was meant to provide symbolic recognition of a Palestinian state and support for a two-state solution, but that option is now on hold.

France has said it openly opposes Iran's efforts to possess nuclear weapons and supports Israel's right to defend its existence against such a threat.
