Kann reporter Itay Blumenthal said that "Military Intelligence worked for more than 4 decades to bring updated information about the burial location of Zvi Feldman, who fell in the Sultan Yacoub battle on the sixth day of the First Lebanon War on June 11, 1982, against Syrian armor. The IDF says that in the past year, a new assessment was formed in Military Intelligence and the Eitan Unit, along with the identification of a new suspicious area that is still kept secret (the reports in Arab media are not accurate)."

He also said that "The Mossad, together with Unit 504, launched a special operation deep in Syrian territory, without the involvement of Israeli commando forces, but involving individuals who definitely risked themselves to bring remains and also Feldman's tank suit to IDF forces. The suit was positively identified by Lieutenant Colonel Y., head of the Armor Department in Military Intelligence and a tank corps officer himself, who retired and re-enlisted 13 years ago."

"Upon bringing the remains and findings, IDF forces held a memorial ceremony honoring the memory of Zvi Feldman. Still, since the remains arrived in a complex condition that makes identification difficult, it was necessary to use advanced capabilities and DNA analysis. After approval from the Military Rabbinate, the Feldman family was updated, 43 years after their loved one fell in battle."
