IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi conducted a situational assessment on the Lebanese border today (Thursday), together with Northern Command Commander Maj.-Gen. Uri Gordon and 91st Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Shai Kelper. During the visit, Halevi spoke with enlisted and reserve battalion commanders on the sector’s front line since the start of the war.

The Chief of Staff expressed his great respect for the work and operational achievements of the forces during the last few months. “We will return the residents only when it’s safe here,” Halevi made clear. “This requires professionalism, readiness, and patience.”

Hezbollah and the IDF have been exchanging blows and fires all day today, with rockets fired into Israel and IDF planes striking Hezbollah military structures throughout Southern Lebanon.
