Breaking: IDF Retrieves Bodies of 5 Captives

"In a sophisticated military operation in Khan Younis, the bodies of Ravid Katz, Oren Goldin, Maya Goren, Tomer Achims, and Kiril Brodtsky were retrieved," stated the IDF. The families of all five victims had been notified several hours prior, according to Jewish Press news reports.

Maya Goren, a kindergarten teacher from Kibbutz Nir Oz, was among those confirmed deceased by Israeli intelligence in December 2023.

"This evening, we were informed of the retrieval of Maya Goren's remains in a military rescue mission," announced Kibbutz Nir Oz on Wednesday night.

"After over nine months, she has returned home for burial. The family was briefed on the operation in the past hours," affirmed the kibbutz council.

"The community of Nir Oz remains committed to securing the return of all abducted individuals: those living for rehabilitation and those deceased for proper burial."
