Israel-Gaza War, Strike

Labour Court: Sympathy strike for hostages "political," strike must end 14:30 Israel time

The decision comes after the government appealed against the strike as being political and unrelated to economic conditions or labor strife.

The Labour Court has ruled against the Histadrut's decision to hold a solidarity strike in favor of a hostage deal today (Monday), calling the strike "political" and unrelated to labor conflicts or grievances. It has thus ordered that the strike cease at 14:30 time.

The strike, which only some unions and government offices adhered to, was declared yesterday with the aim of pressuring the government of Israel to agree to a deal to release the hostages.
