"A grave threat to international peace": UN Security Council to discuss Israel's Iran strike

Israeli ambassador Danny Danon rejects Iran's criticism of the strike, saying Iran is "trying to act against us in the diplomatic arena with the ridiculous claim that Israel has violated international law."

Reuters reports that the UN Security Council is set to meet tomorrow (Monday), following a call by Iran to convene and discuss Israel's attack on Iranian military targets yesterday, in retaliation for a massive missile attack on October 1.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in his request that "Israeli regime's actions constitute a grave threat to international peace and security and further destabilize an already fragile region."

Danny Danon, who called the strikes "precise attacks on military targets in Iran, in response to the unprecedented attacks carried out by Iran against Israel earlier this month," said that Iran trying to act against us in the diplomatic arena with the ridiculous claim that Israel has violated international law."
