The IDF announced that since last night (Wednesday to Thursday), the IDF, Border Police and the Shin Bet soldiers have been operating in the Nur a-Shams refugee camp near Tulkarm, and have killed terrorist Husam Mellah, a key operative in Hamas' terrorist network in the sector.

Mellah was involved in planning terrorist attacks in the immediate future. The terrorist was eliminated a few days after his predecessor was assassinated.

During the operation, an aircraft attacked a squad of armed terrorists who fired at our forces.

In recent months, and as part of Operation Summer Camps, a number of similar squads were destroyed in Tulkarem and Jenin, with Tulkarem being the scene of the largest such attack, which killed 14 terrorists.
