Sirens were heard this evening (Wednesday) in the Eilat area, following a suspicion of an incursion by hostile aircraft. After about 10 minutes, the Home Front Command updated that the event had ended.

The IDF spokesperson reported that a naval missile ship intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle launched from the east, following alerts according to policy. Shortly thereafter, the pro-Iranian militias in Iraq claimed responsibility for launching drones towards a "vital target" in the city.

The Eilat Municipality updated that "security forces in the area report a successful interception of an aerial target that entered the area by the Navy. We must act according to the Home Front Command's instructions; they save lives." No injuries or damage have been reported.
