In memory of Rabbi Naaran Eshchar
LISTEN: Yeshiva students honor Rabbi Naaran Eshchar with stirring musical tribute
Students of Yeshivat Habekaah pay tribute to their teacher, Rabbi Naaran Ashchar HY'D, who died protecting our homeland.

In a poignant display of unity and remembrance, students of Yeshivat Habekaah have come together to sing a song composed by their beloved teacher, Rabbi Naaran Ashchar, who was tragically killed during the war.
Master Sgt. Ashchar, from Moreshet, was an IDF tank commander, was injured when a tank overturned, and later succumbed to his wounds. He was 33 when he fell.
Rabbi Eshchar, who served as a Maggid Shiur (senior lecturer) at the yeshiva, was renowned not only for his scholarship and Torah teachings, but also for his musical talents. A gifted composer, he had written a song that has now been preserved and given new life through the voices of his devoted students.
The musical arrangement and production was overseen by fellow student Aviel Sultan, who carefully wove the late rabbi's own vocal recordings into the performance.
"Rabbi Eshchar really loved this song," explained one of the yeshiva students to the Kikar HaShabbat news site. "Singing it together, with his voice joining ours, is our way of keeping his memory alive and honoring the tremendous impact he had on our lives."
The heartfelt tribute has resonated deeply within the religious Zionist community, who mourn the loss of this esteemed Torah scholar and beloved mentor. Through their soulful harmonies, the students of Yeshivat Habekaah have ensured that Rabbi Ashchar's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who hear it.
