Israeli forces neutralize armed cell in Tubas; As part of the operation to thwart terrorism in northern Samaria, IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces operated overnight in Qalqilya and demolished the home of terrorist Jamal Abu Haniya.


The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday evening that the Israel Air Force struck an armed terrorist cell in Tubas, a city in Samaria, as part of an ongoing counterterrorism operation. The strike was reportedly guided by intelligence from the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency).
Following the operation, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported that an Israeli airstrike killed at least ten Palestinians in the Tubas area. The Red Crescent initially cited a lower toll of at least three deaths and noted multiple injuries.
As part of the operation to thwart terrorism in northern Samaria, IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police forces operated overnight in Qalqilya in the Ephraim Brigade and demolished the home of terrorist Jamal Abu Haniya.
On June 22, 2024, the terrorist, together with other terrorists, carried out a terrorist attack in the city of Qalqiliya, in which the late Amnon Mukhtar was murdered.
In a separate counterterrorism operation in the West Bank, the IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police demolished the home of the terrorist responsible for the killing of Stf.-Sgt. (res.) Elchanan Ariel Klein and the wounding of four Border Police officers. The attack took place on November 2, 2023. The demolition was carried out on Tuesday night as part of Israel’s broader efforts to deter terrorism in the region.
