Route 10 Opens for High Holidays

IDF Spokesperson announces opening of sought-after border route during Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot, with specific dates, hours and segments accessible to visitors

The IDF Spokesperson announced that starting tomorrow, Route 10 adjacent to the western border in the Paran Regional Brigade sector will open to hikers for the High Holiday period. The military clarified that entry to the route does not require advance coordination, but is conditional on presenting identification and completing registration at entry points only.

According to the army's announcement, during Rosh Hashanah the route will open on September 11 in the segment between Ezuz and Mount Harif from 08:30 to 14:00. Additionally, on September 12 and 13, the route will open in the area between Bar Lev Observation Point and Barrier 10/12, from 08:30 to 16:00.

During Sukkot, the route will open on September 25 in the segment between Ezuz and Mount Harif from 08:30 to 14:00. Furthermore, from September 26 through October 3, the route will open in the area between Bar Lev Observation Point and Barrier 10/12, from 08:30 to 16:00.

Alongside the announcement of the route opening, the IDF emphasized that force training exercises in firing zones in the south and north of the country will continue as scheduled throughout the weekends. Consequently, firing zones in the southern part of the country will remain closed to hikers. The military requests that the public exercise responsibility, follow instructions, refrain from entering prohibited areas, and allow security forces to continue carrying out their operational missions and training safely.
