"You have no place on our soil"

Three arrested in Hebron for incitement

The right is mine and the land is mine, you have no place on our soil: IDF's Chetz Yehuda unit arrests three Hebron residents overnight for posting incitement and support for the attack that killed two soldiers last Friday, praising the terrorists and calling for armed jihad against the Zionist occupiers

Following Friday's terror attack in which Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Reutman z"l and Sergeant Yuval Shai Soilem z"l were killed, the investigation was assigned to the Judea and Samaria District Police's investigative unit. District police and IDF forces from the Judea Brigade operated in the city of Hebron against terror activity and to restore security in the area.

As part of the effort, forces monitored social-media networks to locate individuals inciting against the State of Israel, supporting terror and its perpetrators, and glorifying terrorists and mass murderers, in coordination among all security agencies.

Overnight Sunday, in a targeted operation in Hebron, fighters from the Chetz Yehuda operational unit and unit investigators raided the homes of three Hebron residents whose social-media activity had been monitored by the IDF Central Command.

Among the posts published after the deadly attack: a photograph of the murderers alongside the caption, "The right is mine and the land is mine, you have no place on our soil. This morning, they are with their Lord, alive and receiving their sustenance." A song played in the background with the lyrics, "In paradise they will not accept a life of humiliation; indeed, they are the best of men."

Another suspect's post referred to the attack as "Operation Hebron." A third suspect posted statements by religious figures and others calling for the mobilization of Arab and Islamic armies for war and armed combat against "the Zionist occupiers," writing, "O great Allah, victory is near, O Lord of the oppressed," with a song in the background whose lyrics included, "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and humiliate them and grant you victory over them and heal the hearts of the believing people." These posts were among many others calling for incitement, support and identification with the enemy, including the Hamas terror organization.

The forces who raided their homes arrested the three suspects, aged 17 and 50, and conducted a search during which mobile phones and computers in their possession were seized for the investigation. The arrested suspects were transferred for further interrogation at the Hebron station of the Judea District, where their interrogation continues.
