Historic Milestone: Elon Musk Set to Become the World's First Trillionaire
A highly anticipated SpaceX IPO this week is expected to push the billionaire's personal wealth past the historic trillion-dollar mark

Elon Musk is expected to soon become the first person in history with a net worth of one trillion dollars. According to reports, an initial public offering (IPO) for Musk's company, SpaceX, is scheduled for June 12 on the NASDAQ exchange, at an estimated company valuation of 1.77 trillion dollars.
Those same reports indicate that the share price at the IPO will stand at approximately 135 dollars. This move is expected to push Musk's personal wealth above the one-trillion-dollar threshold, a barrier that has never been crossed before.
According to published estimates, Musk enters this period with a net worth of about 835 billion dollars. The gap between him and the second-richest person in the world, Larry Page, currently stands at more than 500 billion dollars.
Full Strategic Control of the Company
SpaceX was founded in 2002. Although it experienced significant initial failures, it later became one of the most important aerospace companies in the world. Today, it operates the Starlink satellite system with millions of subscribers, frequently launches rockets using the Falcon 9, and is developing the Starship system, which is considered the most powerful rocket ever built.
Reports indicate that the stock structure of SpaceX grants Musk nearly complete control of the company even after the IPO. He maintains a large majority of the voting rights, which ensures full strategic control despite the company going public. Along with this, the IPO is expected to turn other senior executives at the company into billionaires and create significant wealth among employees who held shares over the years.
However, it is important to note that even if these numbers are realized, a large portion of Musk's wealth is not liquid. Instead, it is based on stock value, meaning this is wealth on paper that depends on the stock market and the actual value of the companies.
