Defiant Roar?

MTG Tells Tucker: Israel Can't Silence Me

Marjorie Taylor Greene accused Israel of tightening a ‘shadowy stranglehold’ on America. The MAGA rebel vowed to slash billions in U.S. aid to Israel, Ukraine, and Egypt, igniting a Republican civil war over loyalty, money, and the meaning of ‘America First.’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) unleashed a thunderclap of defiance against what she portrays as a shadowy Israeli stranglehold on American sovereignty, vowing that no amount of primaries, smears, or threats will muzzle her crusade. "Israel can’t silence me," she declared in a scorching video posted to X early this morning. "They can try to primary me, smear me, or take me out. I’ll never back down."

Greene's salvo isn't mere bluster, it's a battle scar from her relentless war on the foreign aid leviathan. "I didn’t run for Congress to fight for Israel, I ran to fight for the American people," she thundered, spotlighting her amendments to slash billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars flowing to Israel, Ukraine, and Egypt. These legislative lances, introduced amid the 2026 Defense Appropriations frenzy, target the Israeli Cooperative Program's $500 million missile defense lifeline, a sum Greene lambasts as propping up a "nuclear-armed" powerhouse that can "defend themselves" without America's blank check.

Her July push to axe this funding cratered in a humiliating 422-6 House vote, with only libertarian firebrand Thomas Massie (R-KY) and progressive Squad stalwarts like Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Summer Lee (D-PA) joining her in dissent, a bizarre bipartisan bedfellows moment that underscored her isolation.

Undeterred, she fired back at the "lies," proclaiming, "The American people see through [them]. We’re putting America First again," which is a nod to Trump-era isolationism that's electrifying her base while alienating allies.

The Georgia congresswoman's rhetoric, laced with accusations of Israeli bots flooding her comments and paid influencers bankrolled by "Israel-aligned donors" besieging her daily, paints a paranoid portrait of foreign puppeteers pulling U.S. strings. In the video, she insists her beef is with "the Israeli government," not Jewish people, a frantic clarification amid echoes of her infamous "Jewish space lasers" conspiracy that once blamed wildfires on Rothschild-funded beams.

Yet, critics like environmental researcher Eric A. Ben-David slam her as a "masterclass in theological ignorance and political opportunism," accusing her of peddling "false" narratives that ignore Israel's strategic bulwark against shared foes.

Pro-Israel powerhouse AIPAC, fresh off branding her July amendment "reckless," looms as the shadowy antagonist in Greene's saga, with whispers of a multimillion-dollar primary challenge to unseat her in 2026. "AIPAC will spend 100 million just to remove her," warned one X user, rallying grassroots donors to her defense.

Detractors torch her as a flip-flopper, once a Trump loyalist who powerhosed Israel with cash, now peddling "Jew hater" tropes under the guise of fiscal hawkery. Even within MAGA, confusion reigns: One user puzzled, "What is she talking about?"

This eruption caps a year of Greene's guerrilla raids on foreign aid: From her April "space lasers" stunt, a satirical jab redirecting Israel funds to border defenses, to blocking Ukraine's lifeline amid Russia's grind, she's positioned herself as the unyielding sentinel of American isolationism.

As Trump 2.0 reshapes GOP foreign policy, her stand tests the party's fault lines: Will "America First" mean ditching allies like Israel, or is this the spark that fractures the MAGA monolith?
